Nature speaks to us in colours, scents and blooms; flowers whether in your garden or out and about can offer us much more than just their beauty in the moment. They also bring a quiet vibration, and gentle frequency to those attuned to their intuition.
Spring’s palette of flower colours, often includes yellow, which symbolises joy, confidence and clarity. Soft blues provide a calming intuitive energy, inner-knowledge and emotional balance. Then, gentle pinks encourage you to soften, find kindness and love for yourself and others.
Yellow’s
In late spring, you might see Primroses – often in hedgerows as well as British gardens, they are gently uplifting.
Marigolds are known for their bright orange flowers, and add sun-like warmth and positivity. Interestingly they are also often used in herbal spiritual practises.
In lawns and meadows, Buttercups abound – they are a nostalgic part of childhood for many, and are wild and cheerful.
For many keen gardeners, Coreopsis will play a part in their flower planning, this plant has long-lasting blooms and array of summery colours. They radiate lightness and optimism.
Blue’s
Forget-me-nots are very common in British gardens, they are very delicate, and yet are associated with emotional connection and memory.
Bluebells are iconic in spring, mainly found in woodland settings, they have an enchanting and peaceful energy.
For pollinators, many people plant Cornflowers – a vibrant blue flower that is easy to grow, and brings a sense of calm.
Salvia comes in many colours, blue tones being one of them, gardeners love them for the structure they can bring to a border, but they also represent inner-peace.
Pink’s
If you are lucky, you may have a late flowering Cherry Blossom tree nearby, they provide a heart-opening energy.
Peonies are loved by many, for their full, lush flowers with oh so delicate petals, like roses their energy is emotionally rich and filled with romance.
Pink Dianthus have a long history in British gardens, particular cottage gardens, they are a charming flower with a fragrant scent, providing compassion.
Geraniums are a hardy plant, and great for those that like an easy-going flower to look after. They provide a softness with their green leaves and emotional healing.
Why not utilise flowers, as a way to create a mindfulness about yourself. Focus on a plant, observing its shape, colour, texture and scent. Let your body relax, and your mind slow down and your thoughts drift. Until you feel that you are more receptive to your own inner-voice and can tune into your intuition.
Remember, that nature doesn’t overcomplicate things, it simply blooms when the time is right. Behind the flowers, this spring, let these words be something to live by: Live with intention, Laugh without hesitation and Love without fear.
