Cherubim angels are one of the highest ranking angels and are said to be the guardians of the throne of God. Unlike most angels that have a more human like appearance, the Cherubim’s are claimed to have four faces, four wings (some say up to eight wings) and feet similar to that of a calve. Their head includes the face of a man, the face of a lion, the face of an ox and the face of an eagle (but please don’t be put off or frightened by this, after all, they do carry the same characteristics of other angels and what’s bad about that?). The Cherubim name means “ones who hold fast” and in Hebrew as “fullness of knowledge”. Not only do the Cherubim angels guard the throne of God, but the Garden of Eden and the Tree of Life.
It is mentioned in the Book of Genesis, that the Cherubim angels forced Adam and Eve out of Eden, and guard the gates to Paradise, the Tree of Life with a flaming sword flashing back and forth. As mentioned, the Cherubim’s are one of the highest ranking of the angels and are in fact positioned second. They were created with inexpressible beauty and powers. This particular group of angels are even more significant, as they were the first ones to be mentioned in the Old Testament and are also the guardians of the stars. The total number of Cherubim angels is unknown, but they are believed to sit around the throne of God…hence why they are probably the most important angels for guardianship (Dictionary of Angels, Gustav Davidson). They pretty much guard everything to known to man!
It’s hard to justify which of the group of angels have the highest significance, but the Cherubim angels are the only ones who can read the Akashic Records. In simpler terms, they are the only set of angels who are able to read your thoughts, actions and every word that you have said from the day you were born. They are the masters of vibration and energy in the cosmos. This means, that if there was no existence of angels, then there would be no vibrations in the world. Sad, isn’t it? But luckily, they do exist so there is nothing to worry about!
