Welcome to the world of Numerology! Over the coming months we will be exploring different numbered ‘life paths’ as well as discussing the history, traditions and beliefs held within Numerology. A life path number may reveal important information about a person’s personality; strengths, talents, emotional reactions and inner needs, and these posts may help you discover your soul purpose.
What is Numerology?
It is often said that numerology is one of the easiest divination techniques to learn and master, so if you are looking to develop your psychic abilities then this could be a perfect place to start.
Numerology is quite simply the study of the symbolism of numbers. The best place to start with numerology is with your birthday, although it can also be used to find meaning behind your name, astrological sign and the numerical patterns in any significant number.
The date we were born has held significance for centuries, and it is believed that the ancients thought they chose to be born on a certain date in order to come under certain influences.
Why Do People Use Numerology?
Numerologists believe that the calculation of our birth date reveals our ‘life path’ helping us to discover our potential destiny, natural talents, and helping us to gain a better understanding of ourselves and others.
Whether you use numerology to examine your life, take advantage of unexplored opportunities, confirm your talents or simply as guidance on where to go next, it can be a powerful tool that helps you understand yourself and your loved ones better.
Numerology reveals all the diverse parts of your personality and how they come together to create the person you are. With this complete view, you are able to make the most of your strengths.
How Numerology Works
In numerology there are a total of nine life path numbers (1-9) with two ‘master’ numbers (11 and 22). These numbers are the ones we will be exploring in our upcoming posts.
When we use numerology to discover a person’s ‘life path’ – we simply convert their birth day, month and year into numbers and add them together. For example, if you were born on the 6th of November 1963, you would simply calculate:
6 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 9 + 6 + 3 = 27
You then reduce this number to a single digit, by adding the numbers together again. (The only exception to this rule is if you get the value 11 or 22, which are considered ‘master numbers’ and do not need to be reduced further.)
2 + 7 = 9
So a person born on the 6th November 1963 would have life path number of 9.
Quite simple isn’t it?
Each life path number has a different vibration, which reveals soul information of incredible depth.
