The 5th of November is associated with Guy Fawkes and his gunpowder plot, and up and down the country celebrations will take place on the weekend of the 4th/5th November, many of which will have fires as part of their display.
The historical significance of Bonfire Night has been somewhat lost against modern celebrating with large organised bonfire and big firework displays, so if you are looking at ways of celebrating the evening with a more spiritual twist then why not turn your hand to Pyromancy?
Pyromancy describes an ancient form of divination using fire to predict future events, search for good and bad omens, as well as foretell good and bad health. Using fire as a form of foresight is probably one of the earliest forms of divining.
- If a fire burned vigorously and crackled then the future was considered promising
- If a fire was clear (transparent – non-yellow/red flames), that would be a good omen (more…)

- Start with relaxation and an opening prayer, just a thought sent to spirit, to come close and help and for your guides to protect this session while you work; find a quiet time in a quiet place where you will not be disturbed.
- Ask for a loved one, so you know who your communicator is. Give yourself about an hour if you can, I say this because sometimes it can take time to let the energy build and a good connection to establish, for beginners.
- The key is complete relaxation, not necessarily of the body, but of the mind. Our brains are wired to yap at us constantly, throwing random thoughts and images up, the key ability here is to turn off the chattering mind, and get into a mental space where there is silence and stillness, and that is when we are in the best place to see, hear, feel, and know that there is an energy with us, which is outside of ourselves, connecting to us.
Automatic Writing is a skill associated alongside mediumship, whereby the medium acts as a communication channel for a spirit in the form of writing to pass on information to the living, very often in an attempt to deal with ‘unfinished business’. By the Second World War the form of divination was waning, but it saw a revival in the 70s, but during that phase it was more about angelic wisdom and messages from wise masters. The authenticity of the communicator was often evaluated based on the hand-writing style that the medium found themselves writing in.
There have been times in society when automatic writing was considered more of a treatment than a divination, the belief being that they were just writing down what was trapped in their sub-conscious, and that getting these thoughts onto paper was a valuable form of therapy. (more…)

But how can we connect with our inner soul voice without the need to meditate for hours on end or go to a spiritual retreat for six months? The answer is so easy and straightforward; try this method at home yourself:
- Take 5 or 10 minutes to be still, calm and meditate, at a time to suit you, pick your favourite room and make sure you are not disturbed.
I am a spiritualist medium and also a Pagan, my journey began at a young age, I was shy, sensitive and also very inquisitive about the other side of life.
I found school difficult and was bullied, so when I got home I retreated into books and found solace in music. I used to read the words of ‘Stairway to Heaven’ and wonder what it all meant…I soon found out!
I was called upon to be a medium and I had a lot to learn. I started giving messages to friends and they came to pass much to the disdain of my friends who thought me very spooky.
Life took a turn when I became a mother and I had a tough few years working hard trying to survive; I felt as though I had lessons to learn and this is when my clairvoyant dreams started in earnest.
Marriage and two more children followed just as my dreams predicted, but it was a very difficult pathway and I suffered with depression for a few years. During this time I kept up my sessions at the local spiritualist church and carried on assisting others through my readings. I built up a loyal following and had many return clients; I felt that my past experiences really allowed me to understand others and guide them well. (more…)
If you missed part 1 or part 2 of Lucy’s psychic journey, then click through now. Then read on for her explanation of Magic Tablets!
Tablets of Fate, or Magic Tablets, use the occult significance of numbers to tell the future. They have been popular for at least 400 years in Europe and Britain. They are simple, quick and fun to use. There are a few well-known Tablets: of the Sphinx, of Venus, the Moon, Sun, Jupiter, Mars and Mercury. You can also make your own, more personalised to your own life.
Make your Tablet and have a pointer, e.g. a pencil.
Shut your eyes and concentrate on a question, then turn the tablet three times (or have a friend do this).
Dangle your pointer over the Tablet, focussing continually on your question, and then bring it down.
If you miss the Tablet three times, do not try again for 24 hours.
If the Tablet is reversed, take the Reverse meanings.
Here is the Tablet of Venus. Enjoy! (more…)
Guardian Angel Connections by reader Yianna, Pin: 3242
The minute you enter the world beside your mother, guess who else is waiting to meet you? Your very own guardian angels! Yes you have more than one…and as you go through life you will collect a few more along the way, your angels are with you from your first breath to your last, they never leave you, ever, just because you cannot see them, it doesn’t mean to say they are not there.
We hear the term often, ‘oh someone must have been looking after you there’, well this is 100% correct! The most important thing you should remember is, ‘you are never alone’, even if you feel like you are sometimes. So when you are down, or are feeling blue, remember who is sat right beside you, waiting to comfort you – all you need to do is ask. (more…)
A few months back we featured an article on Tea Leaf readings, and in response one of our client’s – Joan, has written to us with a poem of her own on the topic, titled ‘The Tease’.
Joan is a mystic and started reading the leaves as early as 1963, events predicted around that time convinced Joan of the validity of what she saw in the leaves and she has not looked back since.
We love it when a client writes to us, and it is great to be able to share her poem with all of you, by way of thanks we will write to Joan to give her a free 10 minute reading.
Tea leaf reading is quite an art
I did not realise at the start
That by studying my own leaves
I would attract ‘strange powers’ that teased (more…)
