The Good Place is essentially a comedy about the afterlife, which sounds like a bit of an oxymoron, but it has been a surprising hit. The show is a Netflix Original, and as I write this season 1 is available in full and the second half of season two is being delivered week by week. Season 3 has already been commissioned and is likely to air in autumn this year.
In broad terms there is ‘The Good Place’, as you might conceptualise heaven and there is an opposite ‘The Bad Place’ (Hell). The series was created by Michael Schur, who you might recognise for other quirky programmes such as Parks and Recreation, The Office and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. (more…)

He was looked upon as one sent from God. Here we have people looking for relief of the sacrifices, and the oppressions of the former administration. They see the goodness with the man, and say this cannot be man, for men are not like that, it must be a god, so a God is born. There appears to be a truth in the old saying, because of the ignorance of man, “first came man then man created his own Gods.”
The mistletoe became sacred, and we can trace many of our Christmas customs, back to those times.
After Rama became established in his own land, his spirit teachers told him to spread his truths. He then led a group of his followers to Asia. In a very short time he became revered in those countries. He was then led to Africa, where he conquered the black race in a seven-year war. It was said that the war was not a conquest for Poi, only to bring peace and spiritual understanding to an ignorant people. The war reasoning appears not to have achieved anything, for they are still at war with each other. (more…)

The second historical reference to a prophet is one of the male sex. His name was RAMA. The exact date of his birth is unknown, what is known, is that, he became a threat to Voulspa when her intuition and power was waning. He was educated in the arts and sciences and believed that science, philosophy, and religion were part of life. He stated that to know life, one must study all three.
It was many years later that other less advanced, within the spiritual concepts of life, decided as in politics, that 3 kings of diverse opinions would be better to confuse life, so no one would understand. This is called empire building.
Rama was most concerned over the human sacrifices demanded by Voluspa and her followers. While his concern about the sacrifices was taking up much of his attention, a devastating plague began to infect and kill the people. Rama believed it was a visitation of TUET-TAD or God, and it was happening to punish them, because of the sacrificial destruction of lives. (more…)

- Start with relaxation and an opening prayer, just a thought sent to spirit, to come close and help and for your guides to protect this session while you work; find a quiet time in a quiet place where you will not be disturbed.
- Ask for a loved one, so you know who your communicator is. Give yourself about an hour if you can, I say this because sometimes it can take time to let the energy build and a good connection to establish, for beginners.
- The key is complete relaxation, not necessarily of the body, but of the mind. Our brains are wired to yap at us constantly, throwing random thoughts and images up, the key ability here is to turn off the chattering mind, and get into a mental space where there is silence and stillness, and that is when we are in the best place to see, hear, feel, and know that there is an energy with us, which is outside of ourselves, connecting to us.
It’s a mind-boggling fact that all life on earth was created in the furnace of now long dead stars, it’s a scientific fact that we ARE stardust. We are made of the same atoms as the stars, and because of that fact, we are all connected. All life in the universe is connected, atomically. We are not IN the universe, we ARE the universe. And nothing leaves the universe, it only changes form. This is scientific fact. It is not a matter of belief.
Opening to Spirit
Opening to spirit also does not need to be a matter of belief, born mediums do not need belief to experience spirit; it is perception which is the real gateway. Some of us are born with the kind of perception and the kind of senses which pick things up, phenomena which are not immediately apparent to the general population. People who are born this way experience spirit very early in their lives, and belief will be determined by the environment and influences around them. In an environment where they are not supported, denying that they are experiencing spirit will not stop the experiences. I can testify to this from personal experience.
For those not born with heightened senses, the joys and gifts of communicating with spirit can be learned, anyone can open to spirit – if they open their doors of perception. (more…)
Automatic Writing is a skill associated alongside mediumship, whereby the medium acts as a communication channel for a spirit in the form of writing to pass on information to the living, very often in an attempt to deal with ‘unfinished business’. By the Second World War the form of divination was waning, but it saw a revival in the 70s, but during that phase it was more about angelic wisdom and messages from wise masters. The authenticity of the communicator was often evaluated based on the hand-writing style that the medium found themselves writing in.
There have been times in society when automatic writing was considered more of a treatment than a divination, the belief being that they were just writing down what was trapped in their sub-conscious, and that getting these thoughts onto paper was a valuable form of therapy. (more…)

But how can we connect with our inner soul voice without the need to meditate for hours on end or go to a spiritual retreat for six months? The answer is so easy and straightforward; try this method at home yourself:
- Take 5 or 10 minutes to be still, calm and meditate, at a time to suit you, pick your favourite room and make sure you are not disturbed.
I am a spiritualist medium and also a Pagan, my journey began at a young age, I was shy, sensitive and also very inquisitive about the other side of life.
I found school difficult and was bullied, so when I got home I retreated into books and found solace in music. I used to read the words of ‘Stairway to Heaven’ and wonder what it all meant…I soon found out!
I was called upon to be a medium and I had a lot to learn. I started giving messages to friends and they came to pass much to the disdain of my friends who thought me very spooky.
Life took a turn when I became a mother and I had a tough few years working hard trying to survive; I felt as though I had lessons to learn and this is when my clairvoyant dreams started in earnest.
Marriage and two more children followed just as my dreams predicted, but it was a very difficult pathway and I suffered with depression for a few years. During this time I kept up my sessions at the local spiritualist church and carried on assisting others through my readings. I built up a loyal following and had many return clients; I felt that my past experiences really allowed me to understand others and guide them well. (more…)
I have been working as a medium and a psychic for over twenty years and I love it. My mother and my aunt were both gifted and I grew up being aware of Spirit, so I have always believed, without any doubt whatsoever, that there is so much more to life than meets the eye.
I have long been fascinated about life and why we are here. When thinking about it from a purely physical point of view, as far as a lot of people in the world are concerned, life seems to be one long struggle just to stay alive. It would seem a bit pointless if this were the case and especially if, at the end of that life, you passed away and were no more. But of course there is so much more to life than this, there is a meaning and a purpose behind it, waiting to be discovered. (more…)
Happiness is something we are all striving for in our lives. It is our best guide in our decision making process and that includes considering how our decisions will affect other people’s emotions. However often it can feel like an unobtainable goal. We create visions of what our life would look like if we were happy – if only I had that new job, if only I could travel more, if only I had more time, if only I had love in my life – I would be happy… However that feeling of happiness can still elude us when the outcome of those choices plays out.
So are we chasing a dream of happiness that doesn’t exist?
